: : : I am just trying the product and like it very much but have some questions. : : : I can import prices using AOL download from my portfolio, but I don't know how to import the S&P and DOW. I can't get them into the AOL portfolio format. : : : Also, to delete the companies that came with the download FM, I get into portfolio, but can't find the investment stack so I can use File to Close Top. : : : Thank you. : : To delete sample files go to windows explores : : finance folder delete the sample folder in finance : : go to start, settings, task bar, find the FM entry click the +, : : click the remove button after hilighting the : : things you want remove : Hello, : Lawrence, is right. If you want to delete the : samples, just remove the "Samples" folder, located : in the directory where you installed FM. : If you are trying to remove them from a portfolio, you can just right mouse click : on any of their investments, and choose "Close" : from the popup menu. The investment stack : is shown under the "Investments" menu. The : first investment listed is the top of the : investment stack, and that will be the investment : that gets closed when you choose "File/Close Investment". : Thanks, : Mark : -- : Mark Beiley : : Fund Manager for Windows 3.1x/95/98/NT : : Just realized I forgot to answer your first question... You can do a ticker lookup on AOL to figure out the symbols for those indices. I believe the DOW is $INDU on AOL. Also, have you tried the internet retrieve feature? It makes updating prices much faster/ easier than downloading/importing from AOL. For more on this feature see: http://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/intrtv.html Thanks, Mark -- Mark Beiley
