Internet update

What is the best way to set up the automatic internet update. I currently use an ISP which I am not connected to all of the time, it is a dial up connection. I have set the update for 6PM daily.
I have 4 different portfolios. Will it update all of the portfolios? It appears to only update one of the portfolios.
