: : : In previous versions, you could set start date and end date so you got your portfolio performance for that day, provided you posted entries at the end of each day. In V4.0, it always shows portfoltio performance month to date regardless of the start date entered. Ie it assumes the start date is 4/1/99 for example.

: : Hello Ralph,
: : This is not suppose to be the case... Have
: : you double checked your report start date?

: : Thanks,

: Sorry, I reported the problem wrong. My program has data for the following dates 4/1, 4/5, 4/6, and 4/7/1999. When I ask for portfolio performance for 4/6/99 to 4/7/99 I get 4/5/99 to 4/7/99...and when I ask for portfolio performance from 4/5/99 to 4/6/99 I get 4/1/99 to 4/6/99. The dates shown on the portfolio report are correct, but the data shown is wrong.

This is correct. The way starting report values
are reported has been changed in FM4. This is
meant to include gains on the starting report date.
Therefore, the beginning value/price is actually
the value for the close of the previous day, which
is the starting point on the beginning report
date. In the case of starting on 4/5, since you
didn't have a 4/4 price, it interpolated one for
you, from 4/1...

Thanks,
Mark
