Fund Manager's installation program will set up the icons for you under "Start/Programs/Fund Manager". You can also create a desktop shortcut yourself by right clicking on your desktop and choosing "New/Shortcut..." and browsing to select "fm.exe" from the directory where you installed it. What banner are you referring to? Also, I assume you meant FM 3.4?
