: Hi,
: How would I go about tracking my 401k which does not report individual
: transactions but only provides number of shares owned at the end of the period.
: I thought I read this once in the help or the manual but now that I need it, I
: can't find it. Any help appreciated.

Hello Bernard,
It sort of depends on what data you get on your 401K. For instance, do you
know share prices? If not, you can just use a constant $1 share price, and
adjust the shares with buys/sells. If you don't know the date of your
buys/sells then you will have to approximate. You can do this however it best
makes sense to you, maybe use your statement date... 401Ks can be difficult
sometimes, as with some plans you don't always get all the details, so they
are harder to keep an accurate tab on.

Thanks,
Mark
