: : : : : I'M PRESENTLY ENTERING YEAR-END DISTRIBUTION INFORMATION AND QUESTION WHY THE GRAPH ONLY INDICATES RE-INVESTED DIVIDEND DISTRIBUTION AND NO ST OR LT CAP GAINS, EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE ENTERED AS SUCH.

: : : : Could the markers be overlaid on top of each other
: : : : so you are only seeing the dividend type
: : : : distribution marker?

: : : : Is all your data visible if you look under "Edit/
: : : : All Data..." with the "Distributions (All)" data
: : : : type selected?

: : : : Thanks,

: : : Thanks for yours response Mark. I checked the the distribution entries under "distribution (all)" and I have three entries dated 12/11/98. One for dividend, one for LT gain, and one for ST gain. Only one entry shows up on the graph, rather then the sum of the three. If they are overlaid, how do I get them to show up as a total or individually on the graph?

: : Often for mutual funds your distributions are on the same date, and the shares were reinvested at the same price. This means that the three markers
: : are all right on top of each other. The data
: : is displayed correctly, and the sum of the 3
: : distributions will be incorporated in your
: : graphs.

: : Thanks,

: Thanks again for your prompt response. I guess maybe I'm not explaining myself very well. My problem is the window in the lower left corner of the graph only shows one of the three distributions entries when you put the cursor on the corresponding point of the graph instead of the sum of the three. Example follows:
: 12/18/98 dividend of 5 shares
: 12/18/98 ST Gain 7 shares
: 12/18/98 LT Gain 12 shares
: All shares reinvested, yet the window in the lower left corner will only show the first one entered rather then the sum of all three.

Ray,
I do understand. The window displaying
the information you are talking about is called
the status bar. This displays the information
on the marker closest to the cursor and within the "marker gravity" range. It can
only display information on 1 marker at a time.
Since all 3 markers are in the same location,
it must choose which one to display, it chooses
the dividend distribution. This doesn't mean
that the others aren't recorded properly. For
this, check under "Edit/All Data...".

Thanks,
Mark
