General Preferences - Portfolio Editor Display Dialog

This dialog is available from the Options / General Preferences... menu command.

This dialog page allows you to customize the appearance of the Portfolio Editor.  Use this dialog to change the font, text color for negative numbers, and a shading color for alternate rows in the list view.  The "Restore Defaults" button reverts all fonts/colors to their defaults.  A sample list view displays how the list view will appear with the current settings.  Additional options include:

Show Totals in List View

Toggles on/off the display of totals along the bottom of the list view

Show Gridlines in List View

Toggles on/off the display of row and column gridlines in the list view

Display Price/Value Fields With Currency

Displays the currency symbol with any price or value type field.  How the currency label is displayed (whether before or after the value, and whether there is a space) is controlled by your currency format preference setting in the Settings of Windows.

Display Percent Fields With %

Display a percent sign after any number that is a percentage

Store/Recall Expanded State of Sub-Portfolios in Tree View

On the left hand side of the Portfolio Editor is a tree view that displays all of the sub-portfolios.  When this option is on, the expanded/collapsed state of each sub-portfolio is remembered and restored to that state when the tree view is initially displayed or refreshed.  These states are stored in the portfolio file (*.mm4) whenever it is saved, so that they can be stored/recalled across Fund Manager sessions.

Show Cash on Top

Places cash type investments at the top of the list, regardless of any column sorting.  If a default cash account is in the list, it will always be at the top of the list of any investments.  This overrides column sorting, in order to make it easier to find cash and the default cash account in the list.

Show Default Cash with Shaded Color:

Optionally set a separate background color for the list item of the default cash account, making it easier to quickly find the default cash account in the list
