How do I retrieve the Dow Jones index price?

There are several quote servers that offer quotes for indices.  Yahoo is often a good source for both current and historical index prices.  See Yahoo's list of indices to find the symbol necessary.

Yahoo's symbol for the Dow Jones is ^DJI.  Make sure you record this as the symbol for your Dow Jones investment if you choose to retrieve this quote from Yahoo.
