Simple MAPI

 

Fund Manager can use the "Simple MAPI" interface to send e-mail through your properly configured MAPI e-mail client.  Features that make use of e-mail include alerts and sending graphs/reports to clients individually or in batch mode.  Most common e-mail programs support Simple MAPI.  Instructions for enabling Simple MAPI for several popular email clients are shown below:

 

Outlook:

  1. Start Outlook
  2. Choose "Tools/Options..."
  3. On the "Other" tab, turn on the option:  "Make Outlook the default program for E-mail, Contacts, and Calendar.”

Windows Live Mail:

  1. Start Windows Live Mail
  2. Choose "Options / Mail..." from the top level menu.
  3. On the "General" tab, under the "Default Messaging Programs" section press "Make Default" so that Windows Live Mail is set as the default Mail handler.

Outlook Express:

  1. Start Outlook Express
  2. Choose "Tools/Options..."
  3. On the "General" tab, turn on the option:  "This application is the default Mail handler”

Netscape Messenger:

  1. Start Messenger
  2. Choose "Edit/Preferences..."
  3. Under the "Mail & Newsgroups" category, turn on the option:  "Use Netscape Messenger from MAPI-based applications"
