Investment Properties - Income Dialog

This dialog is available by right mouse clicking on any investment in the Portfolio Editor, and choosing Properties... from the popup menu. It is also available by right mouse clicking on any investment in the Graph or a Report window, and choosing Investment Properties... from the popup menu. Use this page to enter expected future income from this investment.

These properties are used in the Bond Summary and Income Schedule reports.

Style	Choose the type of income: No Income, Bond Interest, or Dividends. Only Bond Interest will accrue.
Bond Interest:
Maturity Date	The date the bond's principal will be repaid
Coupon Rate (%)	The annual interest rate for the bond. Example: A bond with a face value of $1000 and a coupon rate of 5% pays $50 a year.
Payment Frequency	How often interest payments are received.
Day Count Basis	Method used to determine how interest accrues over time. See Accrued Interest Definition for details.
Issue Date	The date the bond was issued. This field is only needed when the payment frequency is set to "At Maturity". For all other payment frequencies the coupon dates are used to determine accrued interest, etc. Coupon dates are determined from the Maturity Date.
Dividends:
Payments per Year	The number of payments received each year
Payment per Share	The amount of each payment, expressed in terms of amount per share
Payment Dates	Enter the dates dividends will be received. Only the month/day are needed, as the same dates will be used each year.

Tip: For Zero Coupon Bonds that redeem at face value, set the Coupon Rate to 0% and the Payment Frequency to the desired accrual period for YTM and Accretion calculations.
