Investment Properties - Asset Type Dialog

This dialog is available by right mouse clicking on any investment in the Portfolio Editor, and choosing Properties... from the popup menu. It is also available by right mouse clicking on any investment in the Graph or a Report window, and choosing Investment Properties... from the popup menu.

This property page allows you to edit the asset type allocation for this investment. An investment can be allocated among each of the 25 available asset type categories. The labels used for each of the asset type categories is adjustable by choosing the "Edit Labels..." button, or with the Category Labels Dialog.

Select an asset type category, and then choose the "Change %..." button to specify the percentage of this investment that belongs to that asset type. To change this percentage you may also double click on one of the asset types, or right click and choose the appropriate menu command from the popup menu. The asset type allocations can also be imported from a file, which makes bulk editing much easier.

The total allocation for all asset type categories is shown, and this must equal 100%.

The asset type allocations for all your investments are summarized in the Asset Allocation, report as well as the Asset Allocation - Pie and Asset Type - Stacked Value graphs.
