Mark: There is a collumn heading provided for "1YR yield". I would like to add "% 1YR yield"
This is rather important to me and I have been using a caculator to figure out this value based on the current calendar year dividend and the current value of the shares. Other periods do not seem to be of much use although I have at times figured the % yield based on purchase cost.
Haven't checked in in a while but (off topic) noticed you were in the perfect location to observe the Transit of Venus this week. Best regards, Chuck Pierce

Hi Chuck,

I didn't quite follow how you are calculating this field. The current 1Y Yield is already a percentage, but it sounds like you want a different percentage. If you want to define your own custom fields, you can do this in the Professional and Advisor versions. You can write your own equations, and define as many new fields as you want. See the "Define Fields..." button on the Custom Report Settings dialog. This feature allows you to use any of the built-in fields and perform math with these fields, or use them in a variety of functions.
Thanks,
Mark

Sorry!! I thought the 1YR yield - from the looks of it - was the summation of the dollar value of the dividends paid during the year. No wonder things haven't been making sense.
Anyway, I want to know how much has been paid in dividends in any calendar year and what that is as a percentage of the value of the stock shares. Thanks for your quick reply. Best regards, Chuck Oh! When I'm here on these pages how do I change my current password to a new one of my own choice???

Mark: I suppose what I'm looking for is the current (last) dividend paid, the annual dividend, and the annual dividend yield. Hope I'm making sense now. Chuck

Hi Chuck,

Yes, those sound like the types of fields you may be looking for. For an exact definition of each, see the online help. This help topic on our site can be seen here:
