General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Hi,
I'm currently unable to perform the operation "Retrieve and update historical prices". Whatever I do, it results in an error message stating:
"Check that you are not "Working offline". In Internet Explorer un-check "File / Work Offline"
My Internet Explorer is working fine; I can access any website with it (e.g. Yahoo Finance).
What should I do?
Regards, Pedro

Hi Pedro, I'm not sure. What version of IE are you using? Do you have cookies enabled?

Hi Mark, I'm using IE 11, and the cookies are enable. It is indeed strange, as it worked fine for the past 2 years.

Hi PCarvalho,
You might try resetting your internet option settings. From within IE, choose the settings icon, and then "Internet Options". Click the "Advanced" tab. Choose "Restore advanced settings" and also "Reset...". Hopefully that will clear up whatever is causing this problem.

Hi Mark, I tried all that and it still doesn't work... Interestingly, the exchange rate USD>EUR continues to be updated with no issues.

Hi PCarvalho,
Maybe your exchange rate is from a different server? If you try different servers, is the problem only happening with certain servers?
If you use "Help / FM on the Web / Check for Updates..." does that work?

Hi PCarvalho,
Are you maybe using the Thrift Savings Plan server when you have this problem?

Hi Mark, Bond prices are set to be retrieved from Boerse Belin - Bonds, while exchange rates are retrieved from Yahoo. And yes, the " "Help / FM on the Web / Check for Updates..." works fine.

Hi PCarvalho, 1) What quote module are you using? 2) Can you visit Boerse Berlin with IE okay, and look up a quote? 3) If you right mouse click on a single investment (that is retrieving from Boerse Berlin - Bonds) and choose "Retrieve Selected Price", does that work? I'm trying to determine if it is server specific, so maybe you can try this from a few different servers, and see if the problem only happens with this particular server?

Hi PCarvalho, Can you access Boerse Berlin with another browser, like Chrome? Resetting all the IE settings, doesn't fix this issue?
