2016 Beta android app

Is it possible that the android beta app is country locked? The installation URL isn't valid for me(Canada)

The distribution is set to worldwide, so I don't believe it should be locked due to country. What URL are you going to? Can you go here:

It works now. Maybe there was a delay btw being accepted as a tester? Dunno, but the link to the play store works nicely now. App downloaded.

Feedback on the web interface/android app: It does not appear very useful in it's curent state since the page is pretty much static unless the desktop app update it first. I understand not making it a full fledge web app but it would be alot more useful if the different stock price would update upon a refresh(or do an automatic refresh only once a day to avoid abuse). Of course, even that would be problematic as some stock price are only on certain quote servers.

Okay, thanks for the feedback. The overhead of being able to retrieve prices from all of our quotes serves is quite high, so we're leaving that to the main Fund Manager program for now. I do agree it would be nice if the app could go out and retrieve updated prices on its own. We may investigate that for the future, for at least maybe a subset of our supported quote servers. One tip, in case you didn't see it, you can have Fund Manager automatically upload your data every so often. See "Options / Mobile/Web Access / Preferences... / Automatically Upload:".

Hi Mark,

One change that would be easy is to get the last login date and time in the time of the device instead of US time.

Cannot get to download the app via playstore. Even when one search for it no results are found.

When using the link in this thread one gets the msg that it is no longer available.

That link should still be valid. It works okay for me, as I just now checked it. Are you going here:

If you still get this error, you might try this:

1) Make sure you are logged into the same Google account that you have set up on your Android device.

2) Try clearing your browser's cache, or if you're using chrome, open up a new incognito window by pressing "Ctrl + Shift + N", and then try visiting that link.

As there is no download button one can only install it on a cell phone. Thus no incognito window by pressing "Ctrl + Shift + N".

Yes I mean the portal login dates as per below.

Only the portion below the link displays when I go to this tread via my phone.I cannot just click on the link to check if it is working now.

You can install it from your desktop, you don't have to install it from the cellphone. Try going to that link from your desktop, while logged into your Google account. You should see the option to join the testing program, or it will tell you you are already a tester. Once you agree to be a tester, you'll see a link to the app on the Play Store. You can initiate the install from the Play Store on your desktop computer, to your phone or any other android device that is using the same Google account.

I have managed to install it. The previous 2 times my phone did not give an option to use PLAYSTORE to go via the web but only my 3 other browsers. The previous times I used CHROME and the Samsung Internet browser.

I did join earlier. I does seem to be a cumbersome way to get to test the app and to get it.

No results if one search for it and the link is the only way.

I did 1st register for testing via an older phone with a different gmail account. I had to use a newer phone as the 1st attempt was with a too old android running older than vers 4.

Glad you got it installed. Once the official release happens you won't need to mess with any links to join a testing program first, as it will be just a regular app in the Play Store.
