How to hide zero shares in portfolio editor?

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Postby marathon » Thu Jun 04, 2015 7:31 pm

Once a position is closed it is no longer relevant for current view and only clutters up space

Have not found a way to hide zero-shares in portfolio editor

what is a better solution would be a check box to say "position closed" and will be hidden under normal view. To look back at the old positions there can be a "historical audit" view. This solves the other issue of have fractional balances from rounding errors

any other ways to do this?

Hi marathon,

Yes, use the feature to either auto-hide sold investments, or you can manually mark investments as hidden. See "File / File Operations / Hide Sold Investments..." and "Investment Properties... / Other / Hidden". To control the display of hidden items, see "View / Hidden Investments/Portfolios".

For more, see this FAQ:
