Upgrade Instructions

If you are upgrading from an earlier version of Fund Manager here are some tips to make the upgrade go smoothly.

If you are upgrading from a version prior to 11.0 please note that there is an upgrade fee required for the 11.x versions.  See the purchase page for pricing.  Once you have upgraded to 11.x, your new license key will be valid in all 11.x versions.

The 11.x versions use the same file format as 10.x.

You can install the new version directly over your old version.  During installation specify the directory where your current version is located (eg. C:\Program Files\Fund Manager).  During installation the setup program will fill in the location of your current version by default, so you should not have to change anything.  Your old version of Fund Manager will be overwritten.

You should not uninstall your old version before installing the new version.  Uninstalling removes registry entries where many of your Fund Manager preferences are stored.  Uninstalling is not necessary and will cause the loss of these preferences.
