: Thanks a lot for your mail. Actually, the situation is that in all 10 individual portfolios, there are overlapping stock. and in the combined portfolio, if i were to simply include different stock files, then i would not get a true picture of which stock contributes what percentage etc.

: So i do need to do something along the lines of export all portfolios and import.

: Thanks again. I hope to get around to being able to use the software.

: Shailendra

: : : I have 10 portfolios of individual family members. Now I wish to combine those into one portfolio.

: : : I can't seem to do this using the export in quicken format, and then import. while both export and import happen, the symbols are not imported properly.

: : : Do please advise.

: : : Thanks a lot.

: : Hi Shailendra,

: : You don't need to export/import to create this master portfolio. You can
: : just use "File/Open Investments..." to select all the investments that are
: : already in the other 10 portfolios. Then, just use "File/Save Portfolio As".
: : Investments can belong in multiple portfolios. Portfolios are just
: : groups of investments.

: : Thanks,

Hi Shailendra,

A suggestion for you... You can just make a copy of your investment file
(*.dat), rather than going to the trouble of exporting/importing the
data.

Thanks,
Mark
