Hi Gary,

The Shares (beginning) shows the # of shares as of the opening of the
beginning report date. This is the same as the close of the prior day.
So, if you first invest on 1/1/02 to get the share balance at the close
of 1/1/02 the beginning report date would be 1/2/02.
