: Michael,
: Thanks for the info, I too see Yahoo-UK is not working. We'll check
: it out and release an updated retrieve module.
: Regarding the constant prices, check "Edit/All Data..." to see what
: prices are actually recorded, and if you have a time when the price doesn't
: update, you can send us the "intlog2.txt" file in your FM directory right
: after a failed retrieve.
: Good suggestion on the mouse wheel.

: Thanks,

Thanks for the response.

With regard to the constant prices the symptoms were exactly as described by Jonas below - the prices shown in Edit/All data simply remain the same for two or three days.

I will let you have a copy of "intlog2.txt" if it happens again (assuming you manage to fix Yahoo). Copies for previous periods have. of course, been written over.

As for alternative sources of data in the UK they seem to be few and far between. For those that are interested the next best thing that I have found is Market Eye http://www.market-eye.co.uk/ - you can sign up for the Investor service free of charge.

They provide download files for the whole market for each day (as well as the 5 year history files to which you refer in your notes). The downside is that they are in a different format to those used by Fund Manager and Yahoo. It is, however, possible with the help of an Excel Macro to convert the files to a format acceptable to Fund Manager. How easy this is depends to some extent upon how one has set up the Fund Manager Symbols (i.e. with or without the ".L" or worse still with a combination of both).

Regards

Michael
