Status Bar

An optional status bar can be displayed along the bottom of the screen.  The status bar provides various information, depending on what action you are performing in the program.  The status bar can be turned on or off using the menu command View / Status Bar.  An example status bar is shown here:

The left-most pane shows text about the current operation.  This text varies depending on which window you are using.  In this example we are moving our mouse over a share price graph of the investment LOWES INC, located in the sub-portfolio hierarchy: Master Portfolio / My Holdings / TD Ameritrade.

The next pane shows the currency status.  This pane is optional.  The format of the currency status is: Default Currency [Displayed Currency].  The Default Currency is the currently assigned default currency symbol from the Currency Settings dialog.  The Displayed Currency is the currency being displayed for all investments.  This will be "na" if all investments are not being displayed in the same currency.  If all investments are being displayed in the same currency this will be the symbol of this currency.

The next pane shows the status of the menu command View / Hidden Investments/Portfolios.  This pane is optional.  When this menu command is checked, the "H" will be displayed and underlined.  When the command is off, the "H" will be grayed out.  The above example shows it grayed out.

The next pane shows the status of the menu command View / Split Adjusted.  This pane is optional.  When this menu command is checked, the "SA" will be displayed and underlined.  When the command is off, the "SA" will be grayed out.  The above example shows it displayed and underlined.

The next 2 panes are the current date and time.  These panes are each optional.

The last 2 panes show window specific information.  In this example the cursor is over a graph point with the date of 3/31/2015 and a price of $74.39.

To toggle on/off the display of any of the optional panes, right mouse click on the status bar and check the desired panes from the popup menu.
