I am looking for a comprehensive portfolio tracker which tracks and displays dividend payouts, calculates CAGR, max draw down, plots an equity curve, calculates portfolio volatility, and a sharpe ratio.

Portfolio transactions could be entered manually(buy/sell/date/shares, etc.) with the flexibility to retroactively enter transactions; however, I want the dividend payments to be posted automatically by the program and not entered automatically. I also would like an option to share the portfolio and its metrics publicly online.

Can this program accommodate these requirements? If so, which version is best suited for me?

Hi oyz79,

Fund Manager can make all these calculations. You would need at least the Professional version for the calculations you describe, such as the sharpe ratio.

You can manually enter any transactions you want, including retroactively. For updating dividends you have a couple choices:

1) Set up your account to retrieve from your broker, which will retrieve your transactions, including distributions. See: http://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/tintrtv.html

2) If option #1 won't work because you either don't use one of those brokers, or this is a hypothetical portfolio you can retrieve distributions from Yahoo if you are tracking common US stocks or mutual funds. This feature requires the Professional or Advisor version also.

For sharing the portfolio/metrics online it depends on how you'd like to do this. You can do something as simple as print a graph/report to a PDF file, and post that. You could also do screen shots, or in the Advisor version you can copy reports/graphs as resizable images to the clipboard which you can then post. There isn't a feature built into any of the versions that posts to a website automatically. You would have to do some intermediate steps.

You can try out any of the versions, and switch back/forth. The data files are interchangeable between the versions. You might also want to view the feature comparison table:

Mark
