The 2026 version of FM no longer shows the total of all portfolios on the top level of the portfolio editor. Is there a setting to turn on this total?

Hi hmacwilliams,

Do you mean you're not seeing the totals on the bottom of the List view (right side) of the Portfolio Editor? That is still available. Check these 2 things:

1) Make sure it is on. See "Options / General Preferences... / Portfolio Editor Display / Show Totals in List View".

2) Make sure you can see the bottom of the Portfolio Editor window, and it isn't covered up by another window, or off the screen. You can use "Window / Cascade" to re-position all open windows so they are visible.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark,
I have the option "Show totals in List view" checked. The totals do not appear at the bottom of the List View. I tried unchecking the option and then re-checking but the totals still do not appear. The display is not blocked by any other windows. I am stumped.

Hi Heber,

Could you email me a screenshot of the Portfolio Editor? I've just sent you an email, so you can reply to that.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi Heber,

Thanks for emailing the screenshot. The problem is that the Portfolio Editor is in the "Restored" state, and the bottom/right are outside the frame window (it is bigger than the top level FM window). The Portfolio Editor can be in 3 states: Minimized, Restored, or Maximized. If it is in the Restored state you can size it. So, to fix it, use "Window / Cascade", which will resize the window, and fit it fully within the frame window, so you can see all 4 corners of the window. From there, if you want, you can maximize the window, by clicking that button in the upper/right corner of the window.
Thanks,
Mark
