In the Portfolio Editor, with this example:

Root
- Sub A
-- Sub A.1
-- Sub A.2
- Sub B
-- Sub B.1
-- Sub B.2

1) Select Sub B.1 in the left part of the Portfolio Editor

2) Right click Sub A -> Collapse All

--> On the left part of Portfolio Editor, the focus returns to Sub B.1. In the right part, the content of Sub A is displayed.

Mark, I've seen similar behavior with reconciling accounts. Using the example above, reconciling say, Sub A.2, will result in focus shifting to another sub after reconciliation.

Hi Djobydjoba and aviator,

Thanks for the help.

On the left part of Portfolio Editor, the focus returns to Sub B.1. In the right part, the content of Sub A is displayed.

We will get this fixed.

reconciling say, Sub A.2, will result in focus shifting to another sub after reconciliation

Are you right mouse clicking on Sub A.2 to choose "Reconcile" while another sub is selected and listed? If so, this is the intended behavior. Right mouse clicking on a sub will allow you to perform an action on that sub, but it does not change the selected item in the tree view. To change the selected item in the tree view you must first left mouse click on that tree view item.
Thanks,
Mark
