Hello,
Is it possible to add MarketWatch to the quote server list? MarketWatch covers more International exchanges than any other free quote server.
Thanks.

Hi ammar,
Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, this is possible. Are there some quotes available on MarketWatch that you can't find on the Bloomberg server? Bloomberg has many different international quotes as well.
Hello Mark,
I am interested in quotes from Kuwait market in addition to U.S. market. Bloomberg offers Kuwait market quotes for its professional service clients only. MarketWatch has it for free. Note that you do have Kuwaiti Currency, KWD, listed in your currency list. You just don't have appropriate servers for Kuwait stocks quotes other than Reuters, which doesn't offer historical quotes. Thanks. -ammar
Hi ammar,
Okay, thanks for the feedback/help. Can you provide a sample ticker symbol of a Kuwaiti stock that is available on MarketWatch?
Hello Mark,
All companies listed in Kuwait market are freely available in MarketWatch. Here are few: NBK, AGLTY, ZAIN, NIND, FOOD, CABLE They are available in Bloomberg as well as but only for paid subscribers. Bloomberg, however, provide quotes for 2 of Kuwait's 3 market indices: KWSE, SECTMIND, KSX 15 MarketWatch doesn't offer quotes for any of Kuwait's indices. The site that provides quotes for all Kuwaiti stocks and the missing index from Bloomberg for free is Investing.com. So If you can add both MarketWatch and Investing.com Fund Manager will be able to retreive all Kuwait market data. BTW, I noticed that Fund Manager fetches stock quotes one by one which causes a delay in updating quotes for the whole portfolio. Can't you add an option to scrap all quotes in a sigle http request? Thanks. -ammar
Hi ammar,
Thank you, that is helpful. The number of quotes requested at once varies depending on the quote server. Most of them are 1 at a time, but some nicely support multiple at a time. The default quote server is Yahoo, and it retrieves 10 at a time, so is much faster. It just depends on how each server makes the quotes available.
Hi ammar,
I just tested this from here, and it appears to work properly. It updated the price of 3140 but for the server specified date of Sep 4, 2014. Maybe you are looking at a price that got recorded some other way for the current date? The Reuters web site is showing 3140 and a date of Sep 4, 2014, so that is the date the price will be updated in FM when retrieving this quote. Look in the Data Register under the data type of "Prices" to see all your recorded prices on each date. After a price retrieve, look at the price for 9/4/14.
Hi ammar,
Fund Manager updates the price for the date reported by the server when retrieving from the Reuters quote server. Since it is reporting 9/4, that is the date the price will be updated for in Fund Manager. If you have a 9/8 price also recorded, that may have been from other source, like if you record a transaction on 9/8, it will also record a closing price. You can verify that the price is being updated as reported by Reuters be either deleting or editing the prices on both 9/4 and 9/8, and then do a price retrieve and see what gets updated.
