beta 4 crash on report

Hey Mark, encountered a crash repeatedly on portfolio performance report. When I change cash flow method to cont with with-distrib from preferences in report setting the system crashes but if I set cash flow from options- report preferences the system works fine. A log file dmg was registered. Would you like further information. I am using beta 4 advisor.

Mark, found same crash on Distribution Summary. You probably already know that with our previous correspondence. If not let me know if you need the any dump files. Also google did a split today into 2 share classes. I used spinoff to record, is there any way to not record the transfer as external, as it really distorts cashflow reports.

Hi Frank,

If the crash is happening when you go through "Preferences..." within "Report Settings", then, yes, I would believe this is the same bug. If it is something different, please send me the .dmp file.

Any "Transfer" type of transaction is always considered external. Can you give me an example of which report is getting distorted, and how? Maybe I can offer another suggestion.

Yes Mark, the txin subtotal on investment transaction report includes the transaction of the split of google into A and C shares today. It's recorded as cap rtn on google and txf in for class A shares. Also the crash was related to preferences selected inside report setting, same as the last report. Thanks.

Thanks for the info on Dist. Summary.

How do you want the Investment Transactions report to display? If you want the TxIn to be summed with your "Buys" in the total lines, you can change the "Options / Report Preferences... / Investment Transactions / Report Totals" option to just "Display" instead of "Display Detailed".
