Hi Frank,
1) What version of Fund Manager are you using? 2) What exactly were you updating in "Edit / Symbol List..."?
Advisor 2014 (beta3). Was updating symbol list, was working alphabetically down the list to consolidate properties. Got to VTTHX, a mutual fund owned in 3 sub portfolio's when it crashed. Never got to edit anything for this symbol, the second I highlighted the symbol to open it, fm crashed with pop up window, I think it was sent to you automatically.
Hi Frank,
When Fund Manager crashes it will create a minidump file, but that is just saved to your hard drive. It should hopefully still be there. You can email it to us, but it isn't sent automatically. Can you please go look for a file here: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp\Fund Manager\Fund Manager*.dmp and if you have any files in there ending with .dmp, please email them to me. I will send you an email now, so you can reply to that. The AppData folder is hidden, so you will need to turn on the display of hidden files/folders to find it.
Okay Mark, found them, they are on the way.
Frank
Hi Frank,
Excellent, thanks for the files. We were able to find/fix the bug with this help. Please download Beta 4 from our Fund Manager 2014 beta page: http://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/fm2014beta.html Please let me know if this new Beta 4 version doesn't resolve the issue for you.
yes Mark, beta 4 fixed the issue, thank a lot. Great job on the new update.
Frank
