When closing, I receive the following message: "Failed to open C:\Program Files\Fund Manager\Autoback\nnnn_2.fmb for writing" where nnnn is a personal user name.

I open Fund Manager under the Documents folder where all my data is stored.

Hello ajgleason,

It sounds like you are running under Vista with UAC on. In this case, you cannot write into the Program Files folder, unless you start FM as an admin. The solution here is to change the autoback location to somewhere outside Program Files. Your "Documents / Fund Manager / autoback" is a good location. To change this, go to "Options / General Preferences... / Data".
Thanks,
Mark
