Mark,

I would like to suggest a new feature for Fund Manager. I know that this can sort of be accomplished with notes, but this would be simpler and would provide a better visual indication on the trends.

I would like to see a new method for entering outlooks. I follow several people that give a Bullish, Neutral or Bearish recommendation. You could call it anything, but it should have it’s own toolbar icon to activate it. It could look a little like the note feature in that it would have a date field for when it would appear on the graph. Next it could have 5 selections:
• Very Bullish – Puts a Green “++” on the graph.
• Bullish – Puts a Green “+” on the graph.
• Neutral – Puts a Yellow N or “0” on the graph.
• Bearish ¬ Puts a Red “-¬” on the graph.
• Very Bearish Puts a Red ¬“- -“ on the graph.

This would put a symbol on the graph that is easy to see from the color and symbol without having to open up the note. If you want, you can use the note for additional info. I feel that the color is needed to separate it from the notes. This way looking at the graph would visually show the change in sentiment without having to open up the notes. And would be much faster while scrolling through your graphs.

If you want to take it further, you could let the user select the symbol and color.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the idea. I can see expanding the existing Notes feature to allow you to specify an icon to use with each note.
Thanks,
Mark

Mark,
If you expand the notes to allow us to change the icon could we specify colors for each icon for example "++ pr "+" = green and "--" or "-" = red or "N" = yellow.
This would make them stand out on the trends.

Thanks,
Jim
