Mark,

Thanks for adding the Allocation Target to the Portfolio Properties.

Is there a possibility of having the Allocation Target on the Rebalance Report defaulting to the Target Allocation Set within the the Sub Portfolio that you are running the report on?

Hi Ric,

Yes, that would be good. We'll do this for the next release.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi Ric,

This has been added to Fund Manager 2018 Beta 2. Beta 2 is now available from the Beta page.
Thanks,

Mark, I downloaded FM Advisor 2018 Beta 2 and when I went to run a Rebalance Report for a Sub Portfolio the Rebalance Report Allocation Target did not default to the Allocation Target set in the Sub Portfolio's Properties. E.g. Client IRA Portfolio Properties Allocation Target is Aggressive. The Rebalance Report for the same Sub Portfolio had a Balanced Allocation Target.

Hi Ric,

How did you create the Rebalance report exactly? If you go to "Reports / Rebalance..." it will bring up the "Report Settings" dialog. When you pick the sub-portfolio you want, the "Allocation Target" should change to whatever is assigned to the selected sub-portfolio.

If you were opening a memorized report, or switching to an already open report window, it won't change. You have to go through the Report Settings dialog.
Thanks,
Mark

Mark, that is what I did. I must have misunderstood the update. I thought that when running the Rebalance Report and selecting the Sub Portfolio in the Report Settings that the Allocation Target would default to the Allocation Target set in the Sub Portfolio Properties

Hi Ric,

Thanks, I see the problem now too. We'll have it fixed for the next release. It is meant to work the way you've described.
Thanks,
Mark

Mark, thanks. I did a high speed looksee at a few accounts and found that the correct Target Allocations are reflected in the Rebalance Report. However, for Sub Portfolios with no Assigned Target Allocation assigned in the Portfolio Properties it appears as if I run a rebalance report the Target Allocation defaults to Balance. Not that this matters since we would never run a rebalance report on these portfolios since they are not managed. If they were we would have entered a Target Allocation in the Sub Portfolio properties.

Anyway, we are scheduled to rebalance a number of portfolios in the next week so if we come up with anything I'll let you know.

Again, Thanks this is a HUGE Time Saver.

Hi Ric,

Thanks for taking a look. If a sub-portfolio does not have an assigned allocation target, the old behavior is used, which is that the last used allocation target is selected by default.
Thanks,
Mark
