Rebalancing Report - By Investment Not Asset Type

Comments, critical feedback, praise, or suggestions for new features.

Hi Mark,

A tweak (new version?) of the rebalance report would be very helpful. Currently it is by asset type. It would be helpful to have it list by investment and assign a target allocation by investment. A good example here would be when an account has a limited number of investment choices (say 4-12 index funds) and rebalancing is influenced more by investment value than asset class. This will allow a user to memorize a report that has the sub portfolio and its associated target.

Thanks as always for an excellent product.

Hi Jason,

In the Personal and Professional versions you can define/use an allocation target based on:

Asset Type
Sector
Investment Goal
Investment Type
Currency

In the Advisor version there is also the ability to define allocation targets by "Model Portfolio", which essentially allow you to rebalance based on investments as you're describing.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the recap and explanation. I think my solution will be the portfolio value report and an ancillary spreadsheet.

Thanks,

Jason
