Failure

Hello Mark,
I have been using FM for more than 15 years and never have had any failure. As such your software is terrific.But for the first time I got a failure when I try to update all my positions:
"System error Code:2
Message cannot find the file specified"
"Check that you are not "Working offline"
In Internet Explorer un-check "File/Work offline""

I get the same message when I use "Help/Fund Manager on the web/Check for Updates"

I use Firefox last version, windows xp. All other functions in Firefox and Windows XP work properly.

I have tried to Restore my data to a time before the last version. I have reinstalled FM. All my data are loading fine.
It look like it could be something with the connection? I hope you can help me.

Hi Bjarne,

This usually means you have Internet Explorer set to "work offline". Even though you use Firefox for browsing, Fund Manager uses a component of Internet Explorer for web communications. Try starting up your Internet Explorer and trying to find the "Work Offline" option. The position of this option varies by version of Internet Explorer. I believe in IE under XP it is under "File / Work Offline" in Internet Explorer. Make sure that is not checked.

you are right. It worked. I haven't started IE for the last year, so I think it is time to buy a new PC and a new OS.
