Hide stocks not owned (temporarily(

Comments, critical feedback, praise, or suggestions for new features.

Hi Mark,

I constantly cycle through graphs of a over a hundred stocks that I have interest in (own, sold, or might buy). I don't want to hide past investments, and I don't want to put then into a different folder because I want to track performance. It would be great if I could temporarily only cycle through the stocks that I currently own.

Can you put in a button for this? I think many would appreciate this feature.

Thank you.

Hi Clarke,

Thanks for the feedback. We don't have just a simple button, but it sounds like you can get the desired result if you went to "File / File Operations / Hide Sold Investments...". Leave both dates set to today, and leave all 4 options checked. This will hide everything except what you currently own. It will also make sure to un-hide anything you maybe had previously hidden that you now own.

You mentioned you don't want to hide past investments, but you want to only see stocks that you currently own. That seems contradictory, so I'm assuming you really only want to see items that you currently own share in?
Thanks,
Mark

Thank you! That worked, after I unchecked "hidden investments".

I unchecked 'turn off price receive for sold investments' because I want to get those prices. I don't think this should cause a problem?

I only want to see the stocks I currently own when I am in a hurry. Usually I scroll through all the stocks that I am familiar with owning because I might want to buy them again.

Hi Clarke,

Glad that helped. Yes, it is fine to leave hidden investments set to retrieve prices.
Thanks,
Mark
