Great software; portfolio editor Column suggestion

Newbie using personal version. Robust program, outstanding customer support, and knowledgeable user forum. Keep up the good work.

Further customization/choices for Portfolio Editor would allow user to cram as much data on screen as they wish:
1) Add to possible display choices, so no one is forced to adopt any of these options ...
Single column heading of "$/% today"
This would then display what is currently labeled "value change" first and then after a "/" would display in same column what is currently labeled "% change"

I'd like to accomplish two things: a) Have shorter, more telegraphic Column label; b) front load in the label the data that is in column so that one can narrow the column if you want and still have pretty good idea of what the data means; and c) offer option to clump data that some might typically always want together in their display.

Another example would be:
Unrlz gain/Unrlz %gain becomes an optional single Unrlz gain/%

There are other pairs, and even trios of existing column data choices that could be offered as an optional combination in similar manner e.g. Mov Avg 5w and etc.
In keeping with my suggestion of front loading the most important and often differentiating aspect of column label, I'd personally prefer that these be 5w Mov Avg, or even 5w MA, or even 5w SMA(simple moving average) - again to optimize use of screen real estate.

If FM, were to consider some rewording (front loading) of column names I'd suggest creating a poll on the forum to get input from users as to what text would be clear and useful. This is probably a much lower priority than many other suggestions, yet it is a core part of the software and what we all see everyday.

Thanks for the feedback, I can see that being useful. Ideally we could make the column labels user-adjustable like we do for report column labels in the Advisor version. That way you could define your own. Being able to put multiple pieces of data into a single column could be another level of customization. Or, maybe even allow the Custom report user-defined fields to be included in the Portfolio Editor. That way, you can write your own equations.

+1. I second this suggestion.
Another way would be to give the user the possibility to relabel the column headers to whatever cryptic thing they want. But the combination of columns is interesting.
