While I'm in a "wish-list" mode, I'd like to see an option in the reports module that allows me to not print all the pennies. They take up scarce space in reports that have a lot of columns

Good news, this feature is already there. From within any report window see "Options / Report Preferences... / General / Display Cents for Dollar Values" and turn that OFF.
