2014 Asset types

This might be useful information. If you have an investment in multiple accounts. In my case IEMG. It was set to stock in some places and ETF in others. When I did an asset type download it changed them all the be the assets of IEMG. When I did a sector download it failed. So you have to go through and make sure all assets are labeled correctly in all accounts otherwise some of the downloads work in different orders and fail.

Good point, thanks for the feedback. The asset/sector retrievals are dependent on the investment type, so those have to be assigned correctly for the retrieval to work. If you have multiple investments with the same symbol, the one highest on the investment stack determines how the retrieval is done (stock/fund). As you point out, it would be best to make sure all investments of the same symbol are assigned to the same investment type to prevent any problems. If you're using the Advisor version, one easy way to check this is with "Edit / Symbol List...". With that dialog you can edit properties by symbol.
