Capital Gains Report

This may have been posted previously so please forgive me if it was.

I would find it extremely helpful to be able to subtotal the capital gain report by security and then again by term.

Therefore something like:

Short Term:
Security 1 sale 1
Security 1 sale 2
Total security 1

Security 2 sale 1
Security 2 sale 2
Total Security 2

Total Short Term
same for long term

I don't know if it is currently possible to do so in FM nor do I know if the code will allow you to add such a feature easilly but I think it would be great.

Thanks for the feedback, we can consider this for a future update. It is not currently possible to sub-total the capital gains report by security. You can of course get totals for the whole report of short/medium/long term gains, but not by security.

If you really wanted this information, you could export your capital gains report to a CSV file using "File / Export to CSV..." and then sub-total by security in Excel.
