Graphs: make the crosshair more suble / discreet

Comments, critical feedback, praise, or suggestions for new features.

Hi Mark,

The new option to disable snapping for the crosshair in FM 2026 is welcome. Now I really want the crosshair to be my main cursor in graphs.

But I find that, with a solid line, the crosshair stands out too much in the graphs. This is especially true with a black background (but not only), the solid white lines of the crosshair are too prominent, and that prevents me from fully enjoying the graphs.

Here is a screenshot to illustrate what I mean:

The crosshair doesn't have to be so visible. A more suble finish does not affect its use in any way, and quite the contrary it helps to focus more on what is really important on graphs, to begin with the price line.

If you look at other stock charting softwares you will notice that the crosshair knows how to make itself forgotten.

An approach would be to make the crosshair color customizable. Could be nice. The background color of the graphs can be different for different graph types so it would mean the ability to customize the crosshair color for each background color.

Probably simpler and efficient: dotted lines for the crosshair

I've edited the screenshot above and here is a suggestion:

The dotted lines are an alternation of 1 white pixel (if we consider a black background) for every 2 empty pixels. Here is a zoom on this screenshot, on a part of the horizontal line of the crosshair:

Just a suggestion, but you get the idea.

This does not affect the use of the crosshair in any way. On the contrary, it improves the experience with graphs.

Thanks.
