Expand/Collapse sub-porfolio tree state memorized

Comments, critical feedback, praise, or suggestions for new features.

Hi Mark,

In the left part of the Portfolio Editor, I prefer when the portfolio tree is completely expanded. So I right click the top-level portfolio > Expand All.
The problem is, each time you toggle the "show hidden files" state the portfolio tree is not expanded anymore and you have to expand all again manually. Same when you restart FM, even if this is less annoying to have to expand all only once at startup.

That would be very nice if FM could memorize the state of each sub-portfolio - expanded or collapsed - to ensure that the settings are resistant to the "show hidden files" command or a program restart. When you reorder the columns in the right part of the Portfolio Editor this order is saved automatically, without having to save the portfolio file. It seems a same behavior with the precise expanded/collapsed state of each sub portfolio would be very nice.

Hi Mark,

I hope it will be fixed in a next release. In my trading routine I need to access on a daily basis some sub-portfolios in the tree and I find more and more annoying to have to expand the portfolios after each hidden investment command ON or OFF (command that I use on a daily basis too).

Thanks.

Hi Djobydjoba,

Okay, thanks for the feedback. This is a bit different than memorizing the columns, which are always the same for all sub-portfolios. Maybe we could memorize an option that initializes everything to be expanded.
Thanks,
Mark
