Hi Mark, Quandl ( http://www.quandl.com) has 9 Million Datasets available. This database is really HUGE, and is free !!! Could you consider an implementation in Fund Manager ? This would be awesome ! Thanks. "Quandl doesn’t provide real-time or intraday price data, but has a HUGE amount of statistical and economic data from all over the world.
Few examples: - Short Interest & Bullish/Bearish Sentiment Index data for stocks. - Fundamental Fields from SEC and Damodaran - Commitment of Traders (COT) value for futures contracts (provided by CFTC) - International Stocks - Thousands of Economics & Social Data fields from all over the world!"

Hi Mark,
I'm just curious about the prices downloading from Bloomberg quote servers. Is Fund Manager use a free and public API to download the quotes, or is there a licence ? I've done some researches, I haven't really fund something free publicly available.
Bloomberg is the only usable source for mutual fund prices (at lease for European funds). I really hope this will be keep functional in the future. In fact, I fear of a change in the Bloomberg policy that would close the functionality one day.
Thanks.

Hi Djobydjoba,
Fund Manager is not using anything special. It is acting just like a web browser would, in going to their site, and looking up the publicly available information.

Hi Mark, You mean, the historical prices are downloaded directly from the web pages ? For example, I can't see any historical prices in this page : http://www.bloomberg.com/quote/CARMPAE:FPexcept in the graph itself...

Hi Djobydjoba,
Yes, historical pricing is downloaded from their web server.

Quandl is the only source of reliable index futures data that I know of. Right now, I download their data into a text file, then import into FM. I would love to see this automated.
