I see Account Fee listed with a description indicating a (-) negative entry is to be used. I agree with that. I would think that Foreign Tax would also need that negative description reminder.

After doing a negative Account Fee in the cash account the Data Register lists the Type as an "Account Fee Reinvestment?" I think the word reinvestment would only be used with positive cash entries. I also tried a negative Foreign Tax in the cash account (I know that makes little sense) but I was just testing. That showed "Foreign Tax Reinvestment?"

As a side note, I find this forum very helpful. Thanks.

Hi sandie,

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, that would make sense to include the negative reminder for "Foreign Tax", just like with "Account Fee".

The term "Reinvestment" can apply to either a positive or a negative distribution. The normal positive distribution just means you bought more shares with the proceeds. For a negative distribution it means you redeemed shares to pay the negative distribution.
Thanks,
Mark
