Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby Shields » Tue Oct 27, 2009 1:38 pm

importing bond data results in position 1000 times to large
Can't find any way to adjust position size

is there a way to hide old, now zero, balance positions when doing a portfolio value report? Also similarly, to avoid updating these old position prices

Hi Shields,

When recording bond transactions, Fund Manager expects the shares to be 1/100th the face value, and the price to be on the order of 100, so the valuation is correct, as shares * price.

You can edit your transactions in the Data Register. The number of shares owned is calculated based on all prior recorded transactions. Open up the Data Register, set the Data Type to "Investments (all)", find your transaction, and press "Edit...".

To hide sold investments (and also turn off price retrieve for them) use "File / File Operations / Hide Sold Investments...". See "View / Hidden Investments/Portfolios..." to control whether or not hidden investments are displayed.
Thanks,
Mark
