help - forgot to designate a cash clearing account !

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Mark

I am using trial version 9.6, and entered all investments without designating the money market investment as the designated cash clearing account.

Of course, the money market account is now misstated. I went back and designated the money market account as the cash account. However, when I rerun reports, the cash account does NOT change to reflect the net cash of the purchases & sales of the other investments.

thanks

Hi gstehr,

Fund Manager only debits/credits the default cash account at the time you record the purchase/sell/distribution and when there is a default cash account assigned. Assigning a default cash account after recording your transactions will not cause all the associated money to be automatically taken out or put in. You can manually record each of the cash side of these transactions, or you can just record one lump sum to reflect the total of all the transactions.
Thanks,
Mark
