Hi Mark, not sure how to handle

Newmont Gold has delisted from the TSX and now on the NYSE

I have transactions dated back to 2019

Not sure how to handle considering the exchange and all the calculations of performance.

Hi gmow,

What does this mean in regards to the investment? Is it changing currency? Do you have a different number of shares?

Sept 23 Symbol was NGT.TO on the TSX
Sept 24 Symbol is NEM on the NYSE

My broker account keep all shares the same but changed the symbol and currency.

The change of currency complicates things. You can't just change the currency, as it used to be CAD, but is now USD. The most accurate solution is to create a new investment, in USD, and transfer the shares you owned. Leave the old investment in CAD, but transfer out all the shares. To maintain accurate historical tax cost basis, you'd need to do one transfer out, plus a transfer in for each owned lot at the date of conversion. We have the "Transfer Between..." command for this normally, but that doesn't work when crossing currencies, so you'd have to do it manually.
