Importing CSV files

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby eatonj » Sat Jun 06, 2009 5:49 pm

I am a new user. In fact I'm using the trial version (ver 9.4) right now to see if this will work for me.

I am trying import transactions from a *.csv file. I'm using the following string: ED,TRAN,ANUM,BNUM,CNUM for the import, but I keep getting an error message: Could not find all the specified fields in the importing file.

This is a sample of the data I'm trying to import: 19901022,BUY,235.849,16.96,0

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi eatonj,

Do you have on the option "Import All Transactions Into Specified Investment", with the desired destination investment selected? Since you don't have SYMB in your data or format string, you need to specify the investment in your import dialog. Other than this, it looks fine. I tested it with your example and settings and it imported okay when the destination investment was selected.
Thanks,
Mark
