Bond symbol?

I am manually entering a corporate bond purchase. FM requires that I fill-in all fields. What symbol do I use? The Cusip?

Hi jb3,

You can really enter anything for the symbol. The "New Investment" dialog requires a symbol, as it uses that for the default filename. Besides record keeping and display purposes the symbol is primarily used for retrieving prices. If you aren't going to be retrieving prices then the symbol really can be anything you want.
