Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Mark,
For some reason the server for CoinGecko is not retrieving. This started yesterday. Do you know if something happened Also does FM support historical retrieve for CoinGecko

Hi Jim,

The new quote module 563 has been released and fixes this issue.

The quote module has been updated. Version 563 is available by selecting "Help / Fund Manager on the Web / Check for Updates..." from within Fund Manager 2020 or 2018.

Please let me know if you still have any troubles after getting the update.

Does CoinGecko support historical retrieval?

Hi Jim,

No, you can't get historical prices through this server, but you can on Yahoo (Historical) if you use that instead.

I have used Yahoo for some of the main crypto but they don't support many of the new small crypto.

I updated my FundManager yesterday to the latest version and now the CoinGecko server is not working again. Could you please check it?

Hi Jim,

Thanks for pointing this out. We accidentally broke it when releasing the new version. We've just fixed this by release version 564 of the quote module.

Version 564 is available by selecting "Help / Fund Manager on the Web / Check for Updates..." from within Fund Manager 2020 or 2018.

Please let me know if this doesn't fix the issue for you.

Thanks Mark, it is working again. I moved all the main coins to Yahoo but the new small coins and the Stable coins for the Dollar and Gold are not there. All is good again
