Bulk Reconcile

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby ricbertsch » Wed Mar 24, 2021 5:46 am

We are using Advisor and have a question regarding the bulk reconcilation. We download and import from 2 sources, DST and TD Ameritrade Instl. There are only a few DST accounts. We maintain following Sub Portfolios: Managed, UnManaged and Closed. I am only concerned on The Managed. In this Sub Portfolio (Managed) are each client and then each client has a Sub Portfolio for each account registration and account number.

My question is:

When bulk reconciling we will always have the few DST Accounts pop up as we are using the TD Ameritrade File to do so. Then we will get the 5 or so Portfolios that are holding DST accounts pop up as No Statement. It hasn't really been a problem but I was wondering is there a way to mark those DST Accounts within their Properties as exceptions to being reconciled?

Hi ricbertsch,

No, there isn't, unless you created another level of hierarchy, like this:

Code: Select all
- Master
  - Managed
    - DST
    - TD Ameritrade
  - UnManaged
  - Closed

and then you could choose at what level you bulk reconcile, so you're only seeing the appropriate accounts.
Thanks,
Mark

Thanks Mark, But since we merge all sub portfolios for reporting and fee calculation per client it is probably best to keep it as it is. I was hoping that I was missing a way to check a block not to reconcile on the Sub-Portfolio Properties.

Hi Ric,

Okay, just an idea... You would still have the ability to run reports at the Managed level in this situation.
Thanks,
Mark
