Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby onlyme » Mon Sep 23, 2019 3:13 pm

Mark,

For about a week now price retrieval for brokered CDs has been failing. That is, I receive a message in a window stating:

The following server/symbol combinations failed to update:
05584CGJ9 from (FINRA)
065680PH7 from (FINRA)

etc...

Although I receive this message the prices in the Data Register screens for each CD are indeed being updated.

Has something changed and I've just must the notification maybe? The CDs in question include:

1) 05584CGJ9 BNY MELLON NA INSTL CTF DEP CD 2.35000%
2) 065680PH7 BANK WEST SAN FRANCISCO CALIF CD 2.3500

Any hints or ideas?

Hi Max,

I couldn't find those bonds listed on Finra. I wouldn't expect them to update if you haven't entered the "ticker" as used by Finra. Maybe you have some other investments with the same symbol, but set to retrieve from a different server? That could be causing these to get updated in another manner. Try looking at just one investment, and right mouse clicking on it, and choosing "Retrieve Selected Price". If it fails, it should not be updating the price. You might create a Custom report with symbol and quote server and filter by symbol, so you only show the one symbol in question. This can help you find other investments that may be retrieving the price for this symbol.
Thanks,
Mark
