Some transaction recording in wrong default cash account

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby janfl133 » Sun Dec 16, 2018 5:04 pm

Two years ago, the default cash account was changed by the Broker. For some reason, after recording in the new cash account, now it is recording in the old cash account. In the portfolio preferences, the new account is designated. But when retrieving transactions, it wants to go into the old account.

Please help.

Hi janfl133,

How are you determining it "wants to go into the old account"? Do you see the transactions specifically listed in the "Preview Importing Transactions" dialog? If so, those are getting assigned to that investment based on the CUSIP or Symbol of the investment. You might need to change the CUSIP/Symbol of your cash accounts, so the new cash is using the properties that you had on your old cash account.
Thanks,
Mark

Seems like the broker changed the symbol and/or cusip. Think I have it taken care of. Next week will tell the tale.

Thanx for your help. Certainly couldn't do it without you :)
