Manual Reinvestment of Dividends

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby Ron AKA » Tue Nov 21, 2017 7:24 pm

My ETF's are set to reinvest dividends through my brokerage account. However only whole share amounts are actually reinvested, and the remainder of the dividend is paid out in cash. Is there any way of doing this in one step? So far the only way I have found is to make two separate entries; one for the whole share amount reinvested, and then another cash dividend payout. Quite cumbersome.

Hi Ron AKA,

Sorry, no, there isn't an easier way. This would need to be recorded as 2 transactions.
Thanks,
Mark

OK. Too bad. It would be nice to enter the total distribution, and the amount reinvested, and have the difference as a cash distribution.
